All cults exhibit certain traits as warning signs, and I believe under the domination of "Pastor" Bill Wilson, the Metro Ministries are beginning to exhibit several of them.
1.A creation myth
2.Dominance by one man [usually a man] who demands unique, extraordinary or excessive loyalty and obediance to himself as a person
3.Strange practices carried out by members, or forced upon members, as an act of loyalty to the dominant man in the cult
4.Phony staged attacks against itself, or an unusually high number of threats received by members which create the pervasive sense of some sinister, unseen, enemy

I don't need to read your rant to know that you're just spitting lies. Do you know what a cult is? He shares his testimony because many haven't heard it. It also gives insight into why he's so passionate about serving God's Kingdom. Only the enemy would try to make a fool of someone who's doing good in God's good works. In reality, you're making a fool of yourself. My church is nondenominational, and for decades, we have supported and welcomed Pastor Bill Wilson and Metro Ministries with welcome arms. Many young adults, who are my friends, have worked with him in Brooklyn, New York and they confirm and express more than Pastor Bill Wilson has ever been able to give testimony to. Maybe you should do some research before blasting a good man on the internet.

I understand that it was a long time since you wrote this, but after seeing PBW in the UK last night I came searching for some answers. I simply did not believe that anything he said was genuine. His speech was poor, lacked content and was basically just a begging show. This rose alarm bells.
He was wearing a shoulder brace, claiming that the building he was in, in the Ukraine was bombed eleven hours earlier. However, he managed to hold the mic in the hand on the injured side for almost two hours, and remove his jumper without any trouble.
He told us a yarn about Judges 20:16 - about lefthanded warriors. He said he looked hig hand low in many many books to find out that why these warriors were left handed. He said it was because they had had their right hands removed or damaged in war. A quick google would have saved him the effort and found a different answer. He just seemed to like horror stories.
This theme of horror was constant, hangings, burning of a family of women, suicide, homicide, shootings, rape of children, castrations. The aim, I think, was to shock us. Shock us into giving up our money at the table of books, jewellery, cd's and pictures of children who need your £23 a month for a hot meal.
I cant fault his faith or his mission work, it's more his integrity, methods, attitude and honesty that I question.
Hey Claire thanks for your reply. I wrote this blog so many years ago and I only searched it up again today due to the subject of my posts having the same name as another prominent person which reminded me to look back.
In answer to your story, honestly I'm not surprised, especially using a current event like Ukraine to get attention and make it all about himself as usual.
